After a short but intensive preparation, on Monday, January 25, on the Velosuisse-Homepage a completely new technology platform successfully launched. The annual InfoTech training seminar, which the industry association Velosuisse organized in each case for the specialist bicycle dealers, flickered across the screens for the first time. The InfoTech can now be watched on demand, also time-delayed - as well as the new "Academy" area with training films of the participating companies.

The feedback on the 1st InfoTech digital was positive across the board. Top-class speakers could be won for the event. Velosuisse President Marcel Boller gave the welcome address. A classification of the strong increase in bicycle use during the Corona period was provided by ETH Prof. Dr. Kay Axhausen, who, together with his study group, had studied the ivtmobis.ethz.ch/mobis/covid19 Survey has analysed the movement profiles of the various road users. During the Corona period, Axhausen not only noticed a significantly more frequent use of bicycles, but also that the distances travelled had increased considerably. His prediction: public transport could become less important in the future, especially in urban areas, because even more people are switching to bicycles and e-bikes.

All topic blocks were recorded and can now be re-watched on demand like Netflix. Plus all presentations and full interviews of the speakers, numerous training videos and a lot more on this homepage under "InfoTech 2021".
