The still unclear situation for organisers of major indoor events, which has been triggered by the Corona pandemic, has prompted the board of directors of the Swiss Association of Bicycle Manufacturers and Importers Velosuisse to adjust its event strategy. The InfoTech training seminar, which takes place every year in January and is aimed at specialist bicycle dealers, is not to be held physically in 2021. Instead, the content of the speakers, workshops, service and product presentations will be digitally prepared and presented on the Internet.
The concept will be presented to Velosuisse members by the end of September. The implementation should take place by mid-January 2021. The digital InfoTech is scheduled to start online in the planned time window on 25 January. Velosuisse's aim is to address as many specialist bicycle dealers as possible with the InfoTech. New experiences with the digital version will be taken into account when deciding on the future form of the event.
